Equity Mutual Funds: These funds invest in publicly listed companies’ stocks to generate returns across various market capitalisations. Nippon India Multi Cap Fund - Direct Plan-Growth and SBI PSU Regular Growth are popular equity mutual funds.

There are a wide range of equity mutual funds subcategories to suit your investment needs:

1. Multi-cap Fund: These Multi-cap funds invest a minimum of 65% of total assets in equity and equity-linked instruments in large, mid, and small-cap stocks, making them multi-cap funds that provide balanced exposure to market segments.

2. Large-cap Fund: Large-cap fund makes a minimum investment of 80% of the total assets in large-cap companies’ equity and equity-related instruments.

3. Large and Mid-cap Fund: In large and mid-cap funds, a minimum investment of at least 35% of total assets in large and mid-cap companies.

4. Mid-cap Funds: The minimum investment in mid-cap funds in this scheme's equity and equity-related instruments for mid-cap companies is 65% of total assets.

5. Small Cap fund: A small cap fund invests at least 65% of total assets in equity and equity-linked instruments of small-cap companies.

6. Dividend Yield Funds: The dividend yield funds primarily invest in dividend-yielding stocks with a minimum investment required of 65% of total assets in equity instruments.

7. Value Fund: Follows a value investment strategy and must invest at least 65% of the total assets in equity and equity-related instruments.

8. Contra Fund: Contra fund invests at least 65% of the total assets in equity instruments by following a contrarian investment strategy.

9. Focused Fund: Invests in 30 and below companies with at least 65% of the overall assets in equity & equity-related instruments.

10. Sectoral/ Thematic: The minimum investment in equity and equity-related instruments should be 80% of total assets, focused on a specific sector or theme.

11. ELSS: Equity-linked Savings Schemes (ELSS) are tax-saving mutual funds with a lock-in period that offer tax exemption from yearly taxable income under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act.

Debt Mutual Funds: Debt funds invest in securities, like treasury bills, corporate bonds, commercial papers, government securities, and many other money market instruments that generate fixed income.

There are multiple subcategories available for debt mutual funds to suit your investment needs:

1. Overnight Fund - As the name says, these plans invest in securities with one-day maturity.

2. Liquid funds - Liquid fund schemes invest in debt and money markets and have a maximum maturity of up to 91 days.

3. Ultra Short Duration Fund – Invests in debt and money-market instruments with a Macaulay duration of 3 to 6 months.

4. Low Duration Fund - Invests with a Low duration of 6 to 12 months, primarily in debt and money market instruments.

5. Money Market Fund – This scheme invests in only money market instruments with a maturity of up to one year.

6. Short Duration Fund – Invests in debt and money market instruments while ensuring the portfolio’s Short duration remains 1-3 years.

7. Medium Duration Fund - These funds invest in debt and money-market instruments with a portfolio Medium duration of 3-4 years.

8. Medium to Long Duration Fund - Invest in debt and money-market instruments with Macaulay duration of the portfolio around 4 to 7 years.

9. Long Duration Fund - These schemes have a Long duration of over 7 years and invest mainly in debt and money market instruments.

10. Dynamic Bond - Follow a dynamic approach towards the maturity of securities in the portfolio. Investments are made across durations.

11. Corporate Bond Fund - These schemes invest at least 80% of total assets in only high-rated corporate bonds.

12. Credit Risk Fund - Investment in below-high-rated instruments, with a minimum 65% allocation to corporate bonds.

13. Banking and PSU funds - These funds must invest at least 80% of their assets in debt instruments of Banks, Public sector undertakings, and Public financial institutions.

14. Gilt Fund - Invests at least 80% of the total assets in Gsecs across its maturity.

15. Gilt Fund with 10-year constant duration - Invests at least 80% of its total assets in the Gsecs, ensuring Macaulay's investment duration equals 10 years.

16. Floater Fund - These funds must invest not less than 65% of their total assets in floating-rate instruments.

Hybrid Mutual Funds: Hybrid funds are a mix of debt and equity funds designed to meet the scheme’s investment goal. Popular hybrid mutual funds are Nippon India Equity Hybrid Fund - Direct Plan - Growth Option and UTI Conservative Hybrid Fund Regular Plan-Growth.

There are a wide range of hybrid mutual funds subcategories to suit your investment needs:

1. Conservative Hybrid Fund - The fund is required to invest between 10% to 25% of the total assets in equity and 75% to 90% in debt instruments.

2. Balanced Hybrid Fund - These funds invest at least 40% to 60% of their assets in equity and debt instruments.

3. Aggressive Hybrid Fund - These funds invest 65-80% in equity & equity-related and 25-30% in debt instruments.

4. Dynamic Asset Allocation or Balanced Advantage - This scheme allows investors to change their investments in equity and debt instruments.

5. Multi Asset Allocation - These hybrid fund schemes allocate a minimum of 10% in three asset classes.

6. Arbitrage Fund - These schemes follow an arbitrage strategy and must invest 65% of their total assets in equity and equity-related instruments.

7. Equity Savings - This scheme invests in equity and debt securities. The minimum allocation for Equity and equity-related instruments is 65% and Debt instruments are 10%. SID must disclose minimum hedged and unhedged amounts.

Go to the App Store on your iPhone or iPad. In the search field, type “Stack Wealth.” When you see our app in the results, tap the Get button to download and install it.

Step 2: Sign Up

Open the Stack Wealth app on your device and tap the Sign Up button. The app will take you to create an account using your email address or mobile number. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account, including creating a secure password.

Step 3: Answer a Few Questions

We'll ask you to answer a few simple questions to help us tailor your investment portfolio to your specific needs and preferences. These questions cover your financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment timeline. Be honest and thorough in your responses to ensure the best-personalised experience.

Step 4: Complete Your KYC

We require all users to complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) process for compliance and security purposes. This step involves providing personal information and verifying your identity. You may need to upload a government-issued ID and proof of address. Follow the instructions in the app to complete this step smoothly.

Step 5: Select Your Portfolio

Once your KYC is approved, you can access a range of investment portfolios designed to meet various financial goals and risk levels. Browse the available options and select a portfolio that aligns with your objectives. Our expert advisors crafted each portfolio to optimise returns while managing risk.

Step 6: Start Investing

Systematic Investment Plan (SIP):

You can set up a systematic investment plan (SIP) if you prefer regular, disciplined investing. Please choose the amount you want to invest periodically (monthly, quarterly, etc.). The app will automatically deduct this amount from your linked bank account and invest it in your chosen portfolio.

One-Time Investment:

You can make a one-time investment if you have a lump sum amount you’d like to invest at once. Select the amount you wish to invest, and the app will process your investment in the selected portfolio.
